Please note the change in status of the following announcement, following a vote of the National Council:South Church UU, Portsmouth, NH, wrongfully terminated a member of the American Guild of Organists on January 19, 2011, for which no resolution has been reached. Until a resolution is reached, no AGO member may serve this institution as an employee or independent contractor or in an interim, substitute, regular or permanent capacity beyond 30 days following the date of this letter, August 5, 2011.West Scarborough United Methodist Church seeks an experienced organist/pianist/choir director, part time, 5-7 hours per week, for a 10 a.m. Sunday service and a weekly choir rehearsal for a 10-voice choir. He or she also will have the ability to conduct the choir in the absence of the director. The position has the potential to be expanded in the future.Responsibilities include playing at Sunday services, holy days and various liturgical occasions and accompanying choir practices. Instruments are a tracker action pipe organ, newly refurbished and enhanced by the Andover Organ Company, and a Yamaha P-22 piano.
